It’s with great pleasure we have announced the title role in “Kommandør Treholt & Ninjatroppen”, after keeping it a secret for 9 months!

Let me start off with welcoming all Ninja-fans and friends to our Production Blog. My name is Thomas, Writer/Director of “Norwegian Ninja” a.k.a. “Kommandør Treholt & Ninjatroppen”.
As a kid I used to watch various old-skool “making of” videos all the time. A lot of the time what we’re doing on this movie is reminiscent of back-in-the-days ILM. So obviously I love my job, and at the end of a day I can’t wait for the next to begin. Furthermore we have an amazing cast and crew and a story we believe in. I look forward to sharing all kinds of stuff with all of you in the coming months.
But right now I suggest we spend 56 illuminating seconds with award-winning Master Editor and most honoured fellow human being Walter Murch! He’s talking to all of us. Check it out. Then, please take a minute to reflect on what his words mean to you…
Real kids never grow up!
So, this is the official production blog for our film “Kommandør Treholt & Ninjatroppen“, or “Norwegian Ninja” as we’ve dubbed it in English. Here we will post behind-the-scenes stuff, progress reports, commentary and anything that tickles our fancy. We hope you, our reader, will make ample use of the comments function, and join in the discussion.
I’m the film’s producer, and have been working on the film together with writer/director Thomas Cappelen Malling since late 2006. In addition to myself and Thomas posting here (when he has time!), the blog will also see updates by our stills photographer slash behind-the-scenes videographer Ellen Ugelstad, and sound recordist Fredric Vogel (my bro!). We hope to make this an active blog where different perspectives on our project can be had. Or on film or life in general.
Pro-tip: to receive notifications about whenever the blog gets updated, follow us on Twitter or click the RSS link at the very bottom of the blog page to set up a subscription. RSS is a great way to follow not just our blog, check it out. Also, be sure to check out our official Facebook page!
